We are a small exclusive tour provider working with local businesses based in the Occitanie (previously Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrenees) region of South West France. We are located in the department of Aude close to the Pyrenees Orientals which is ideal for the cycling, walking and water sports breaks we operate. We cater for small groups of up to 8 people, mainly couples.
Normally with a tour based holiday every day you have to pack your belongings and entrust them to a third party to transfer them to your next destination on your tour. The routes are fixed as is the accommodation so if there is bad weather for instance you still have to move on. There are other issues like you might prefer a bath to a shower; you may want to be able to have your cloths washed ready for the next day. Because you’re on a fixed schedule you can't take time to explore. In short it's all somewhat rushed.
Why us? We are located along the river Aude (hence easy access for water sports) nearly at the base of the Pyrenean mountains (we are at 360m altitude) and we are in possibly one of the most beautiful regions of France (12 of the most beautiful villages in France are located here).
Having lived and worked here since 2002 we know the area quite well and if we don't know we know who to ask. We have a "can do" attitude; no problem is too small or too large. If you have any questions, however trivial they might seem please do not hesitate to contact us.
All our offers are for two adults sharing and no children (we do not accept children of 14 years or under). They are priced at "half board" (or demi pension as it is called in France) which is bed, breakfast and evening meals. Vegetarians and people with special dietary needs are welcome but we do need good advance notice.
Our tours are normally self guided. We will supply maps (and GPS trace files where available) and information on where you start your days tour. If you prefer to be guided then we can arrange for a guide to accompany you whose services you pay for direct with the guide.
So come and have some fun with us and explore this wonderful region of France.
